Footsteps in History Geocache
Welcome to all geocachers and
those interested in learning more about the treasures hidden in
the Blackstone River Valley
National Heritage Corridor
FOOTSTEPS IN HISTORY contains
more stops than anyone could make in three days, but why not give
it a try over the Columbus Day Weekend. Tour many of the historic
preservation and cultural arts location around the Blackstone
Valley. Some of the sites are rarely open to the general public.
Visit one site over the weekend
and you would be eligible for a prize that any travelllng cacher
could use. You could be the winner of a
grand prize
worth $1,000 in gas.
Join in for one day, two days or
all three days.
STEP One: Go to the
Events listing website and then
choose the towns, sites, programs or activities that you would
like to visit and participate in during your adventure.
STEP Two: You can self start by
printing info from website, but there will be a designated
starting or orientation location at River Bend Farm Visitor
Center, 287 Oak Street, Uxbridge, MA, open from 9:30 AM each day.

From the south, in Rhode Island, you can obtain information and
maps at Roger Williams National Memorial, Providence, RI between
hours 9:30 to 4:00 PM. (Map

STEP Three. Four and MORE: At
each location that you visit, you will Explore and Experience our
Heritage. Remember to fill out a card at each site to be eligible
for prize. Please include the initials "GC" somewhere with your
name.
FINAL STEP: At the end of each
day, there will be a different location to rendezvous with other
geocachers around 4:30 pm with door prize drawn at 5:30 pm:
Saturday 10/8 will be at
Autumnfest in Woonsocket
near WWII Memorial
cache - find the Corridor Keepers booth to check in (Map

Sunday 10/9 will be at the
Sidewalk Fair in Millbury near the Shoppes at Blackstone Valley
cache - find EMS to check in (Map
it)
Monday 10/10 finale at
Blackstone River & Canal Heritage State Park Uxbridge,
MA with many nearby
caches - find River Bend Farm Visitor Center to check in
